MTV’s True Life star Charlie Balducci dies at 44

MTV star Charlie Balducci has died.

The 44-year-old, who found fame in reality show True Life, was found unresponsive in his bed on Saturday.

TMZ reports that he was last seen at around 2am on Saturday and that law enforcement found him unresponsive in his bed at around 9pm.

Paramedics rushed to the scene, but Charlie was pronounced dead.

The star’s mum told the US site that her son had died unexpectedly as he didn’t have any kind of sickness.

She also said that the last thing he told her was that he was happy to have his sons, who are aged 19 and 17.

Charlie was known as a trailblazer in reality TV.

Back in 2001, he let MTV cameras follow him for four months before he got married to his wife Sabrina for show True Life: I’m Getting Married.

It resulted in one of the most infamous rants ever filmed for reality TV.

It came on the day he was due to get married, when the limo driver was running late.

It prompted Charlie to threaten the driver, by telling him: “I will gut you like the piece of s**t you are” and “I’ll hunt you down like cattle”.

Charlie and Sabrina were one of three couples to feature on the show.

They had been discovered during a dress fitting, and when the opportunity to appear on the show came up, Charlie was all over it.

The pair were married for more than a decade and had two children together before they got divorced.

After finding success on the show, Charlie went on to make various other TV appearances.

He was also known by the nickname Charlie B.
