Abi Titmuss has been pictured for the first time in two years after quitting fame and moving to Los Angeles.
The former nurse, 44, now goes by the name Abigail Evelyn and lives in LA with her musician husband, Ari Welkom, also 44, and their three-year-old son.
She was seen make-up free wearing a pink top and blue linen trousers as she sat on some steps in the Californian sunshine.
Abi shot to fame as the girlfriend of TV presenter John Leslie back in 1999.
She became a celebrity in her own right after putting her nursing career on hold to take up glamour modelling – stripping off for a number of lads mags titles.
She split from Leslie in 2004, and went on to carve out a new career in TV appearing on shows such as Love Island – back when the show was known as Celebrity Love Island, and Come Dine With Me.
Abi also wrote a magazine column for FHM and hosted a number of radio shows.
However, she walked away from glamour modelling and her TV career in 2007 to focus on acting.
Speaking about her life as an in-demand glamour model, Abi said: “Financially I did very well but it came at a great emotional cost. I had very low self-esteem because I didn’t understand why it had happened to me and I didn’t think I deserved any of it.
“I started getting my self-esteem from the camera lens and that is a dangerous place to be. If I was not on the front page I would worry.
“I was self-medicating with drink, drugs, shopping, food, relationships – you name it. I was going out every night… you enter a twilight zone.”
In her 2008 autobiography the now 44-year-old wrote: “My life is empty. It’s like there’s a gaping void inside me that I have to fill. I discovered there are various means of doing this – food, drink and men.
“But the high is transient and I am always left feeling worse than when I started. Deeply, deeply unhappy.”
Determined to get better, she quit drinking and entered therapy before turning her back on glamour modelling and rebranding as a serious actress.
She appeared on stage and landed a number of small movie roles before moving to the US in 2015 and changing her name to Abigail Evelyn.
The gamble paid off and she landed the role of Nurse Jackie in US soap Days Of Our Lives, where she met her husband Ari.
She married Ari, who played Aldo in the show, in 2017 while 21 weeks pregnant with their first child – whose name she’s never made public – and told Loose Women it happened just the way she’d hoped.
“I met Ari when I was 38 and got pregnant naturally at 40,” she shared.
