Take That secretly got matching tattoos of St Paul’s Cathedral on their bums.
Robbie Williams revealed the group all got inked to mark the signing of their first record contract in 1990 – but kept them secret as record company bosses wanted to keep their image squeaky clean.
Robbie says: “We signed our first contract in St Paul’s Cathedral in 1990.
“It was the idea of the record company to make us look whiter than white, holier than thou.
“East 17 were the bad boys and then there was us. We were supposed to be very, very pure.
“To mark the occasion, we all got St Paul’s Cathedral tattooed just below our left buttock. I think it’s touching. It’s lovely.”
He adds: “We were young, we were daft, we were impressionable but we were in love.”
The tattoos must be tiny, as when Robbie’s wife Ayda shared an image of his bare bum earlier this year, the cathedral wasn’t visible.
Robbie has more than 30 tattoos, including a fez in tribute to Tommy Cooper, two pairs of glasses in homage to the Two Ronnies and a silhouette of Morecambe & Wise.
