Phillip Schofield has told that Drag Race judge Michelle Visage supported him when he came out.
The This Morning presenter, 58, revealed his sexuality in an emotional interview with co-host Holly Willoughby on the show back in February.
And after the silver fox bravely spoke out on being gay he was approached by LGBT+ advocator Michelle Visage, he revealed to Fearne Cotton on her Happy Place podcast.
Phil explained how Michelle reached out to him and invited him for lunch and during their meet up she kindly offered him support and offered him an invite to ‘the club.’
He told: “Before we all got locked down [due to coronavirus ], I had lunch with Michelle Visage… she’s one of those really kind, compassionate people, and I’ve known her on and off the telly, and she was one of those people that messaged me… the most amazing people messaged me.
“She said: ‘Right, I’m going to take you out for coffee, we’ve got to talk and I want to make sure you’re okay.’ That’s what a lot of people have said: ‘Are you OK, are you sure you’re OK?’
“We went out, and I said: ‘I feel like I’ve joined a club, but I don’t know whether I’ve got the right credentials. I don’t know. Can I put a rainbow after stuff that I’ve said?’
“And she said: ‘Of course you can!’ I said: ‘I don’t know what I can and can’t do.’
He went on to add: “She said: ‘You’re beating yourself up for no reason, welcome to the club. And what’s more, you have made a massive difference to people who also didn’t realise that they perhaps could have membership to that club.’”

Phil – who is still married to his wife of 27-years Stephanie Lowe – came out in a statement posted to Instagram on February 7.
The TV star wrote: “With the strength and support of my wife and my daughters, I have been coming to terms with the fact that I am gay.”
