Phillip Schofield offered paramedic job after Government app suggests he retrain
This Morning presenter Phillip took the Government’s retraining quiz and was told he should work as a paramedic or a soldier, for a lot less money than he’s on now
Phillip Schofield was offered a job as a paramedic after taking the Government training quiz.
In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, and the effect it’s had on a number of occupations, the Government launched on online quiz to help people assess their skills and find a new career.
Joining in on the action, This Morning presenter Phillip was told he should retain as a paramedic or a soldier after being directed to 30 roles in the emergency and uniform services that he may be interested in.
Of course, neither career would see Phillip earn the kind of money he currently does by presenting a string of ITV shows, which also include Dancing On Ice.
Sharing his results with his Instagram followers, he wrote: “As advised by the Govt I’m looking into retraining.. these are the suggested options for me”.
Over on Twitter, he was quickly approached by the London Ambulance Service, who said they’d love to have him on board.
The Service’s official account shared his Instagram story, writing: “Hi @Schofe – being a paramedic is a rewarding and challenging role. We think you’d be great!”
They then gave him a link to find out more about the ambulance roles currently on offer.
The NHS Jobs Twitter account also got involved, telling the TV star: “We couldn’t agree more! @Schofe, we have over 280 #paramedic vacancies live on NHS Jobs right now. Begin your search today: jobs.nhs.uk”
His followers joined in, rushing to tell him he’d look great in the uniform.
“Schofeeee!!! You know you would look brilliant in green,” one posted.
One working paramedic offered: “Come join us. I’ll drive you round and carry your bags”
A third tagged a paramedic pal to ask them: “fancy a new crew mate?”
