Piers Morgan jokes he was among 235 who complained about Amanda Holden’s dress

Piers Morgan has joked he was among the 235 people who complained to Ofcom about Amanda Holden ’s revealing Britain’s Got Talent dress.

The 49-year-old telly star came under fire during the semi-final of the competition as some viewers suggested they could see her nipples spilling out of her low-cut frock.

The explosive installment of the ITV talent show sparked 277 complaints to broadcasting regular Ofcom, with 235 of them concerning Amanda’s outfit.

Now Piers has jokingly admitted he was one of those that complained.

During a candid chat on Heart Breakfast on Friday morning, the Good Morning Britain host said he found Amanda’s ensemble shocking.

However, unlike the majority opinion, Piers felt that his pal was wearing “too many clothes”.

Addressing Amanda’s controversial dress, the 55-year-old quipped: “I was one of those people who complained to Ofcom about your dress.”

He continued: “But I only complained because I thought that you were wearing too many clothes.”

Amanda’s stunning floor-length gown featured a long slit at the side up to her waist – but it was the plunging neckline with off-the-shoulder sleeves that sparked backlash.

Despite the row, the gorgeous mum-of-two was able to find the funny side and laughed off the fact there had been a Twitter fan account set up for “her nipples”, joking they now had their own management.

After Amanda decided to cover up for the final of Britain’s Got Talent, Piers made a flirty joke and admitted that he was disappointed that the blonde bombshell chose not to flaunt her ample assets.

Speaking about her ensemble on Good Morning Britain, he quipped: “I wanted to ask her why she didn’t wear a more revealing dress to the final of Britain’s Got Talent, I was personally very disappointed.”
