Frankie Bridge rushes her son Parker, 6, to A&E as he ‘gasps for air’

Frankie Bridge spent yesterday evening in hospital with her son Parker as he suffered a coup attack, a condition that can leave children with breathing problems

Frankie Bridge has revealed she had to rush her son to hospital last night after he was left gasping for air.

The former Saturdays singer, 31, said the ordeal “broke her heart” but reassured her fans that little Parker, six, is doing well.

Parker suffers from a condition called croup that occurs in young children and babies affecting their windpipe, with the most common symptom being a barking cough.

Parents are told that if their child develops breathing problems as a result of croup, they should take them to A&E where doctors will often give them oxygen and a shot of adrenaline.

Taking to her Instagram account on Thursday morning, Frankie shared a picture of herself cuddling her eldest son after they left the hospital.

She said: “Was in a&e last night with this little guy… with yet another croup attack…

“Doesn’t matter how many times it happens… to see someone grasping for air is always terrifying.

“Breaks my heart. But he’s absolutely fine now… all just very sleepy…”

Frankie later posted a picture of herself looking very tired after a long night in A&E.

“One very tired, emotionally drained mummy,” she said.

Frankie, who also shares son Carter, five, with her husband Wayne Bridge, opened up about her own health battles recently.

She revealed she has been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) after having irregular periods, bad PMT and bad skin.
