David Adefeso, the boyfriend of Tamar Braxton, recently addressed the news of the reality star’s recent hospitalization after a suicide attempt. Page Six has learned the 43-year-old was found at the Ritz Carlton Residences in downtown LA by her boyfriend on the 15th of July.
In a statement to The Blast, Adefeso thanked all of her fans and followers who have been so supportive during such a difficult time. He described Tamar as a “beautifully talented woman” as well as a great mother.
Page Six learned earlier this week that the Braxton Family Values star had been taken to a different hospital for more treatment following the news that she overdosed on prescription medication. Her boyfriend says Tamar is now getting the best treatment possible.
Since her hospitalization, her sisters including Traci, Trina, and Towanda, went to visit her, and some of her closest friends like Tiny Harris, NeNe Leakes, Viola Davis, and Claudia Jordan, paid tribute to her on social media.
Reportedly, just a few weeks before she overdosed, Tamar sent a letter to WeTV bosses in which she claimed they had destroyed a family for a television show.

Ricki Mathers reported earlier in July that an audio recording of her boyfriend speaking with 911 operators was revealed. During the telephone call, Adefeso explained some of the drama with Braxton and the network that employed her.
According to David, when he returned to the hotel room at the Ritz Carlton, he found his girlfriend unresponsive with her eyes barely open. He said she had been mixing alcohol with medication for depression and anxiety.
Reportedly, David said in the 911 call that she was very angry with the company she worked for. The 911 operator tried to make David feel better who then went on to ask if she would ever be “free.”
Thankfully, the paramedics arrived at the scene in good time and her life was saved. She was taken to a hospital. Tamar had been unconscious for several days before she was shipped off to a treatment center.
