Piers Morgan has reignited his bitter feud with Loose Women panellist Denise Welch, once again branding her “deluded” over her views on the coronavirus outbreak.
The Good Morning Britain host, who previously called Denise a “dumb, deluded and dangerous Covid-denier”, has taken aim at her again.
He replied to one of his followers who asked: “Where has Denise Welch gone?”
The 55-year-old morning telly favourite wrote: “Very quiet on coronavirus, thank god.
“The last thing we need right now is ill-informed, deluded celebrities constantly downplaying the covid threat & making people complacent.”
The former actress, 62, took a break from social media last month after a spat with the Good Morning Britain host drove her offline.
She claimed the feud had taken a toll on her mental health in a tearful video in which she explained why she was stepping away from her accounts.
Denise has since returned, but has been significantly quieter on the topic.
The Loose Women star has long been a vocal critic of the way the Covid-19 pandemic has been reported on, suggesting the dangers of Covid-19 have been exaggerated.
The pair’s feud began when Denise appeared on This Morning early last month to suggest the coronavirus crisis has been blown out of proportion.
Piers slammed the ITV show for allowing her on, writing on Twitter : “Dumb, deluded & dangerous Covid-deniers like Denise Welch need to stop being given airtime.
“Her idiotic, ill-informed ramblings – from a woman who never stops telling us that she suffers from mental illness – will cost lives by persuading people to think the virus isn’t a threat.”
Piers has been a staunch critic of the government’s handling of the pandemic, previously admitting the reason he gets so angry at MPs over the coronavirus response, is to do with his friendship with Kate Garraway.
Kate, who also hosts GMB, has been through hell as her husband Derek Draper spent 13 weeks in a coma as he battled the virus.
