Ex On The Beach’s Ashley Cain has updated fans about his baby daughter’s heartbreaking leukaemia diagnosis.

The 30-year-old former Ex on the Beach star said that despite facing an “uphill battle”, he remains positive that she will “surprise everyone” and win the battle.

The reality star broke the devastating news on Friday about Azaylia Diamond’s condition, after he welcomed her into the world in August with girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee.

Despite the sad nature of the situation, Ashley appeared upbeat in a new video that he posted from her hospital bed, where he said the eight-week-old was the “happiest in the room”.

With Azaylia wrapped up in her hospital cot, Ashley is seen saying to his daughter: “What are you so cheeky for today? You little lion.”

He then strokes her head and gives her a kiss as she looks up into his eyes.

In the video that Ashley shared on Instagram, he says: “We have accepted what’s going on, we know what we need to do to beat it.

“This little soldier is fighting amazingly, it’s incredible.”

He went on to give more details about the form of leukaemia that Azaylia is battling.

The reality star continued: “She’s got a very rare and aggressive case of it, and she is very little so she’s fighting an uphill battle but I have hope and faith she will surprise everybody.

“We are going to keep fighting and working and are taking this step by step, day by day – as long as keep having these promising results we are going to be okay.

“As long as there’s a glimmer of hope, it doesn’t matter how much or how little, we will hold on to that and use that to fuel us to the stars and back.”

Ashley urged his followers to keep praying for his newborn: “I wanted everyone to know in times like this you cling onto every bit of faith and all the positive messages and all the prayers, 100% trust me they are helping.

“We are feeling the love so thank you for the positivity; we are fighting, we are strong, and we are going to beat this.”

Captioning the moving post, Ashley wrote: “Somebody woke up very cheeky today and inspired me and the whole ward to smile and be positive!

“Despite her condition, she is the happiest and most energetic person in the room and as much as we’re trying to be there and help her, she’s always the one fueling the flame of hope for us all! ❤️”

He continued: “The amount of love and support we have received is overwhelming and heart filling BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY your prayers and positivity is creating an energy that we’re all fuelling off and using to grind through this tough time SO PLEASE PLEASE KEEP IT GOING!

“You’re all amazing and we really appreciate you! ❤️ LETS GO CHAMP”
