Nicholas Lyndhurst ‘gets support from co-star David Jason’ after Archie’s death

Old pal and Only Fools And Horses co-star David Jason reportedly reached out to offer his support to Nicholas Lyndhurst following the death of his son Archie

Nicholas Lyndhurst has been supported by his Only Fools And Horses co-star David Jason after his son Archie died age 19.

His son Archie was found dead at his London home in recent weeks after a short illness which left his family completely devastated.

Old pal and Only Fools And Horses co-star David Jason reportedly reached out to offer his support to Nicholas.

They used to have a close friendship off-screen after more than 20 years playing the Trotter brothers Del Boy and Rodney in Only Fools And Horses.

A source told The Sun : “Despite no longer being on screen together, David and Nick remain very close. So, as soon as David became aware of what had happened to Archie, he was in touch with Nick.

“He’s been in regular touch ever since and – like everyone else who cares for Nick and his family – is just trying to provide whatever support he can.

“Everyone’s hearts go out to what Nick and his family are going through at the moment. Nick’s heart is broken, and David is doing all he can to support him.”

Mirror Online reached out to Nicholas Lyndhurst’s representative for further comment.

Nicholas and his wife Lucy shared they were “utterly grief stricken” following the news of Archie’s death.

Their statement read: “Lucy and I are utterly grief stricken and respectfully request privacy.”
