Jess and Eve Gale were reportedly among a number of Love Island stars to have flouted rules during a recent reunion party.
A group of eight reality stars appeared to shrug off the Rule Of Six as they partied late into the night and documented their antics on social media.
The 21-year-old twins were celebrating the launch of their hair extension campaign before being joined by their fellow Love Island cast.
Among the social media stars reported by the Daily Star to be at the event were: Rebecca Gormley, Biggs Chris, Eva Zapico, George Day, Alexi Eraclides, and Josh Kempton.
In the Instagram stories from their evening celebrations, the group could be seen sipping alcohol as well as snapping pictures and did not appear to be adhering to social distancing.
The Rule Of Six was introduced mid-September and restricts gatherings of more than six people.
A snap from Rebecca’s Instagram page appears to suggest that the launch celebrations were held on September 30.
In a post shared with her 318,000 Instagram followers on October 1, Rebecca wrote: “Last night was such an amazing turn @jessicarosegale & @evegale Super proud of you girls @ririhairextensions_uk.”
Speaking to the Daily Star, Global health expert Dr Sophie Harman has suggested that featuring the group’s partying on social media could influence others to break the rules.
“Lots of people do care what Love Island contestants do and will take it as a cue that a slight bend in the rules – eight not six – is OK,” she told the publication.
She added: “While it seems unfair, those who trade in influence have to be held to account for that influence.”
A representative for the Love Island stars has been contacted by the MirrorOnline for comment.
