Ronan Keating has paid an emotional tribute to his Boyzone band-mate Stephen Gately on the 11th anniversary of his tragic death.

Dublin native Stephen, who made up one-fifth of the iconic Irish boy-band, died aged 33 at his holiday home in Port D’Andratx, Majorca, in October 2009.

Tributes have been pouring in for the late star all weekend as his former band-mates and “brothers” Shane Lynch, Keith Duffy, Mickey Graham and Ronan Keating have all remembered Stephen in gushing tributes.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday morning, Magic Radio host Ronan confessed that he will always miss Stephen.

Alongside a snap of the best friends in the height of their fame, the 43-year-old revealed the image of the Stephen then, is the man he will remember forever.

“This was us as I remember and always want to,” Ronan penned.

“11 years has zipped by and it’s still as hard as ever to not have you in all our lives. Miss you brother.”

The heartbroken star continued in his gushing tribute to Stephen by listing through some of the qualities that he misses most about his late friend.

Ronan continued: “Miss your laugh and I miss your sense of humour.

“Miss your strops miss and I miss your high kicks – miss the bones of ya.

“I know you are still smiling straw balls. God Bless #BelieveinME.”

Clearly touched by his heartbreaking post, Boyzone fans flocked to the comments to pay their own tributes to lovely Stephen.

“This has me sobbing. I still can’t believe that he’s gone. He’s looking down on you four boys.” shared one moved fan.

“The tears are flowing; I can’t begin to imagine how hard it must be for you Ronan.” another commented.

Others added: “Gone but never forgotten. He would be so, so proud of you all. My heart is heavy today.”

Each of the Boyzone bandmates shared their memories with the late star as they all posted wholesome throwback photographs from their time in the band.

Keith Duffy captioned his Instagram offering: “11 years an Angel ! Love ya miss ya #steo”.

Meanwhile, Mickey Graham wrote “Never stop missing ya kid” and Shane Lynch simply penned: “BROTHER” on his offering.

Stephen tragically died after a night out with his husband Andrew Cowles while the pair were on holiday in Majorca.

After laying down to sleep, Stephen never woke up again.
