Emily Andre blasted as ‘cruel’ for snubbing Princess and Junior on Instagram
Despite being a step-mum to Peter Andre’s eldest children Junior, 15 and Princess, 13, Emily described herself as a ‘mum of two’ in her Instagram bio
Emily Andre has been targeted by cruel trolls following her Instagram debut.
The NHS doctor, 30, made the decision to finally join the viral social media platform during the week.
But unfortunately her first post has been slated by eagle-eyed followers who claim she snubbed step-children Junior and Princess Andre.
Emily, who tied the knot with Peter Andre in 2015, shares two children Theodore and Amelia with the Mysterious Girl singer.
Despite being a step-mum to Peter’s eldest children Junior, 15 and Princess, 13, Emily described herself as a ‘mum of two’ in her Instagram bio.
Naturally this didn’t go down well with a large number of followers.
The stunner’s bio read: “Mum of 2, NHS Doctor, Charity Ambassador for Caudwell Children, OK Magazine Health and Parenting Columnist.”
Although she’s already raked up a whopping 152,000 followers in the space of a few short days, Emily has been bombarded with cruel messages.
Many messages claimed she “doesn’t care” about her husband’s eldest children.
One unimpressed admirer penned: “You are not a mum of 2 but of 4,” underneath her first ever post to suggest that the celebrity doctor should have included Junior and Princess in the count.
Another fumed: “What about your step-children Emily? Do you not care about them? Obviously not!”
“What about Peter’s kids though? You’re a mum of four surely?”
Despite the backlash, Emily has defiantly decided not to change her bio.
She has continued to create her own Twitter and Facebook pages and hopes to offer medical advice to her followers.
She’s signed up under the handle @dr_emily_official and is offering her advice to followers.
She wrote: “I’ve finally taken the plunge! Follow for health, medical and parenting chat ️ #dremily#nhs#healthandparenting.”
The move comes after Emily quit all social media six years ago.
She vowed not to join it in a bid to protect her children – Amelia and Theo – from following in her footsteps.
In 2014 Emily decided to delete her social media profiles and said she didn’t regret her decision in her OK! magazine column in 2019.
She explained: “I think that this is such an important thing to do because social media can be really negative and so damaging, especially for young people.
“Not only can it promote an unrealistic body image, but there is also trolling to contend with and the feeling of always having to be online and keep up.”
The star added: “I haven’t been on social media for six years and I’ve never missed it.”
