Kanye West has shared a look at a presidential ballot paper – where he’s listed in the running for Vice-President.

Ye announced his bid for the White House in July, vowing to “trust God, unify our vision and build our future”.

And amid speculation about the nature of his campaign, Kanye’s “friend” had written in his name.

But what fans might not have expected was to see his name as a vice-presidential candidate for the American Independent Party, alongside the party’s prospective president, Roque “Rocky” De La Fuente.

According to TMZ, Kanye and Rocky were named to the ballot in California without their consultation.

Vice President of the party, Markham Robinson, nominated both, with the AIP admitting it was a strategic attempt to win votes of the Democrats.

Kanye’s friend had written his name at the bottom of the ballot as the Stronger rapper pushes on with his campaign.

“Friends writing me in,” was all he captioned the snap.

He yesterday dispelled rumours that his bid had trailed off as he shared shiny new Kanye 2020 merch.

Voters can decorate themselves with Kanye’s name emblazoned on hats and hoodies, while they can also purchase a T-shirt with the phrase: “God Save America.”

And in a bizarre move, the rapper, entrepreneur shared a clip in which he held “Vote Kanye” hats above the heads of the Vice President and his Democratic rival.

Incumbent Mike Pence and Joe Biden’s VP Kamala Harris earlier this week engaged in their first debate, weeks after Donald Trump and Joe Biden went head-to-head.

Kanye launched his presidential bid with a tearful speech in South Carolina in July, speaking on topics from abortion, slavery and space travel.

During Kanye’s impassioned speech, which covered some of America’s most contentious topics, he touched on the subject of abortion.

And to the astonishment of many, told that he’d wanted wife Kim Kardashian to have an abortion when she fell pregnant with their eldest child, North, now seven.

They now share four children – North, Saint, four, Chicago, two and Psalm, one.

It’s been a number of turbulent months for Kanye, following his campaign launch and a few Twitter meltdowns.

Kanye suffers from bipolar disorder, with Kim urging compassion for her husband following a Twitter rant in which he levelled a number of explosive accusations.

These included the claim that he was seeking divorce from Kim and suggesting that she’d been unfaithful with fellow rapper Meek Mill.

Meek Mill denied the suggestion, branding it “lies.”

He also accused Kim and her mum Kris of being “white supremacists” and compared Kris to North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.

Kanye publicly apologised to his wife, while Kim has urged compassion for Kanye’s mental health after what was reported to be a bipolar episode.
