James Haskell rates his own skills in bed, wife Chloe Madeley says.
Chloe and James have never been a couple to shy away from sharing intimate sex life details, and it seems James’ confidence isn’t just for show.
Chloe revealed that James reckons his sexual performances are top tier, and that this feeds his ego.
She was responding to the concerns of a fan writing to her for sex life advice.
The fan expressed concern that her husband seemed to be worried that she prefers using sex toys than being intimate with him.
Responding in her new column in The Sun, Chloe wrote: “The male ego is very fragile.
“James’ ego is 90 per cent about how good he is in bed – all he does is talk about how great he is in the sack.”
Dishing out her wisdom, Chloe added: “Explain to your husband that your alone time is no different to him watching porn. It’s a means to an end to make yourself feel good and is not a threat to him.
“Maybe bring a sex toy into the bedroom and make it part of your sex life together, so he can see it is not a competition.”
This comes after Chloe told that she benefits from James’ bachelor past – and that he’s bedded “1,000 women.”
And James even claimed that his lucrative deal with Range Rover was brought to an end because he spoke about sex too much.
The former England rugby star, who retired from the national team last year, laughed that “drivers of Range Rovers don’t want read about my sex life.”
Since his retirement from pro rugby, James has been looking into a number of career paths.
He entered the I’m A Celeb jungle last year, with a spell as camp leader, and has taken to MMA fighting.
He’s also penned a book, What A Flanker, in which he shares his humour and views on the world.
And while the book’s proved popular, James is aware that his views might wrangle the “easily offended.”
“Because of social media there is no open dialogue any more,” he remarked to The Daily Star.
“There aren’t any differences of opinion. There is no context to anything. It’s people fighting fire with fire. And everybody is offended by everything now. It has got us into a bad situation.”
Citing a specific example, he recalled a tweet in which he’d mentioned beef.
One commenter, James told, compared eating meat to “animals being raped.”
Admitting that some people take issue with his no-filters attitude, he added: “Plenty of people hate me. I’m the antithesis of what most people like.
“And I don’t care.”
