Ibiza Weekender star David Potts has lost two stone in lockdown.
The reality star made his name in bright lights when starring on the party series Ibiza Weekender before hoping to find love on Celebs Go Dating.
David shared he has lost almost two and a half stone in his 10-stone weight loss plan on Access All Areas on FUBAR Radio on Thursday.
Admittedly, the TV personality let slip four pounds had crept back on during his two-week sun-soaked holiday to Greece.
He told Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng: “I’m on like this big weight loss journey at the minute. I’ve lost just under two and a half stone.
“And then I went on holiday to Greece for two weeks and then I put like four pounds back on but I’ve still lost like over two stone.”
Celebrity Karaoke Club’s star has hopes his 10-stone weight loss plan will have him “dodging grids” while walking down the street.
In an honest chat, the reality star confessed now he’s ready for change after being “very overweight” for a long time.
He said: “Being overweight obviously isn’t healthy. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with it.
“There definitely isn’t because I’ve been very overweight for such a long time now, but I just want my body to genuinely be healthier.
“I’m aiming for 10 stone. I literally want to be dodging grids walking down the street!”
The two stone has dropped off after the star implemented a calorie deficit diet combined with personal training sessions.
But gruelling sessions have left David “nearly throwing up for an hour” afterwards.
He added: “It’s called Xante the company I’m working with. It’s just basically a calorie deficit diet and then I’m also doing my personal training sessions as well with my PT who’s amazing, puts me through my paces.
“I’m literally sat in the car park like nearly throwing up for an hour, literally after every session.”
It’s not just about looking nice because David has hopes of living out a healthier lifestyle as a result.
He added: “I want to look nicer in myself. I don’t look in the mirror and think that I look disgusting, I just think I want a healthier lifestyle.”
Trolling and homophobic abuse from being in the showbiz industry has proved to be difficult at times for David.
But the Ibiza Weekender star shrugged off the nasty comments as he told the trolls: “I’m not bothered”.
He said: “I’m quite hard faced really and I don’t really care what people think. What you see is what you get. I guess in this industry for a lot of people it can be quite difficult with trolling and abuse in the street and stuff like that.
