Hot New Hip Hop reported today that the legendary reality series, Bad Girls Club, has lost another key member. The outlet pointed out that in July of this year, the 8th season cast member, Demitra “Mimi” Roche, had passed away.
Roche, 34, was the subject of social media tributes and commemoration at the time of her passing, and the same can be said for another cast member who died this weekend. According to HHNH, Whitney Collings, 33, who was a member during the third season in 2008 and 2009, died at a local hospital.

When she appeared on the popular series, Collings was just 21-years-old but she was subsequently booted off for getting into a fight. On her Facebook, Whitney’s mother shared the bad news with some heartbroken words and a testament that life wasn’t fair.
Linda Houghton Collings, her mother, wrote on Facebook that her heart was “completely broken.” Additionally, a close and personal friend of Collings wrote that she was “heartbroken” to have heard that Whitney had died. They had a lot of “fun memories together.”

As of now, it’s not known how Collings died, but some reports have indicated that she passed away in a hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, her home town. Bad Girls Club was a hit when it came out, but the series has garnered more attention as the years have passed.
For instance, Blueface, the rapper, came out to say in recent months that he was going to start his own version of the show on social media. According to Hot New Hip Hop, Blueface’s rendition of Bad Girls Club was intended to be a bit more “x-rated,” than the original.

While it appeared to be all fun and games at first, the rapper came under fire after he was accused of using his position as a means of having sex with vulnerable women. The rapper said on his account that he was just trying to give some of the girls on the show a second shot at life.
It was a chance for them to “work through their temper,” and to understand how to better orient themselves in the world. Coincidentally, Whitney was known for having a temper on the show as well.
