Tina O’Brien hits out at body-shaming trolls who asked if she’d had a ‘fat transplant’
Corrie’s Tina O’Brien says she feels ‘love and gratitude’ for her body after she was cruelly trolled for a set of candid pictures
Tina O’Brien has hit back at a troll who accused her of having a fat transplant in vile comments.
The Coronation Street star, 37, says she feels “love and gratitude” for her body after she was cruelly trolled for a set of candid pictures.
She had been spotted out and about in Manchester wearing tiny denim hotpants and a tight black vest top, which she wore with white trainers and a backpack.
Cruel trolls left a series of nasty comments on the pictures, with one saying she’d “got fat”.
Another posted: “Did she get a fat transplant? She should be ashamed of herself.”
Tina, who plays Sarah Platt in Corrie, shared the picture to her Instagram account, as well as screenshots of the trolling.
She captioned the post: “I should feel ashamed?
“And we wonder why people, especially women struggle with self esteem.
“Instead I choose to feel love and gratitude for my healthy body that allows me to run around the garden with my son and bounce on the trampoline with my daughter.
“I choose love and acceptance.”
She was then inundated with messages of support from her Instagram followers.
One commented: “You look fabulous. Always ignore those comments from people in the cheap seats.”
“Where are these people looking? You look fabulous,” another commented.
