Love Island: Davide and Ekin-Su announced as series winners
The couple appeared to be loved-up as they held one another throughout the live finale episode on Monday evening, but a source who attended the final’s filming inside the villa has claimed things changed between the pair once the cameras stopped rolling.
An eye-witness has claimed of Gemma and Luca after the result was announced: “They changed when the result was called.
“As soon as the cameras stopped, they let go of each other, they were no longer holding each other. They sat around the fire pit and were distanced, whereas usually they were all over each other.”

But, another show insider said: “This couldn’t be further from the truth. All of the finalists were in such high spirits last night as they celebrated the final and Davide and Ekin-Su’s win.”
Ekin-Su, Davide, Luca and Gemma were then joined by the rest of the finalists on stage, Gemma and Luca hugged their fellow Islanders before leaving.
The eye-witness claimed: “Luca and Gemma hugged everyone but then as soon as they hugged everyone they left. And everybody else stayed, Gemma and Luca just went.”

“Dami and Indiyah left at a similar time but they thanked all the crew, whereas I didn’t see Luca thank the crew individually,” they said.
“Dami was hugging each person in the crew and being like: ‘Thank you so much, I really appreciate it’. He seemed genuinely interested in chatting to them.”
3.4million people watched the final on ITV

The eye-witness added to the Mirror of Luca: “He said a general thank you to everyone and then left which was fair enough but Dami, especially, walked around to every person and said thank you and it just shows the difference in personalities.”
ITV have been contacted by the Mirror for comment.
Ekin-Su, 27, and Davide, also 27, were crowned the series winners after 3.4million viewers tuned in to watch the couple being crowned.
Luca and Gemma got together early on in the series
Gemma and Luca’s family have both shared their pride in the couple following the result.
Fishmonger Luca’s sister Claudia, who has been running his Instagram, shared a photo of the couple on Luca’s page and wrote in the caption: “Thank you SO much from the bottom of our hearts for all of the support you’ve shown this gorgeous couple.
“So excited to continue watching your journey from the outside. You really did win by finding each other”.
Meanwhile, the final post from the person running Gemma’s Instagram account read: “Words can’t describe how proud we all are of Gemma. She has shown the nation how mature, honest and classy she truly is.
“From the bottom of our hearts thank you for all the love and support…Gemma is going to be SO overwhelmed
“We are passing this back to Gemma now… We have loved running her account and being part of her @loveisland journey. We can’t wait for what the future holds”.
