Khloe Kardashian took her daughter True to donate toys at their local fire station as she wants the tot to understand how “fortunate” she is.

The reality star, 36, has grown up in the limelight as part of the famous Kardashian family, which has made her realise her privileges in life.

And Khloe wants True, two, to know and appreciate just how lucky she is by giving back to their community.

She shared videos on her Instagram Story of True – who she shares with basketball player Tristan Thompson – dropping off some goodies to a nearby fire station as they try to spread festive cheer during the coronavirus pandemic.

The toys will go to children and teenagers, according to Khloe.

The mum-of-one explained why she had taken her little one to gift toys to those who need them, writing: “While I was watching the news, I came across a story that mentioned toy donations are down more than 50% this year.

“Of course this year has been incredibly tragic for so many people. This year so many people, understandably so, aren’t able to give back in the ways they used to. But there are so many other ways we can give back.”

The TV star called for everyone to come together and spread “kindness and compassion during these dark times”.

Khloe urged her fans to check in on their loved ones and even encouraged them to write letters to children or the elderly who are stuck in hospital in a bid to brighten up their day.

She concluded: “I know True is young but I think it is important for her to understand how blessed and fortunate she is.

“It’s so important for her to see how we give back to others, ESPECIALLY in such unprecedented times. Children learn with action and consistency. This is just the first of many trips we are making.”

After making the selfless act, Khloe signed off the post by listing places her followers are able to donate to.

“If you are able to donate a toy or some warm clothes, please check your local areas. Fire stations, grocery stores, churches. There are tons of small businesses you can help, or even a stranger down the street,” she said. “Happy Holidays from True and I.”
