Johnny Depp demanded Amber Heard ‘stop nude scenes’ over jealousy of co-stars

Johnny Depp demanded that Amber Heard “stop doing nudity” and cut down on intimate scenes as he was jealous of her co-stars, a court heard.
Joshua Drew said his ex-wife had been friends with Ms Heard, who told her Depp had a “particular issue” with James Franco, who the actress had worked with in the 2015 film The Adderall Diaries.
Drew was giving evidence in Depp’s libel action against The Sun newspaper over a 2018 article which labelled him a “wife beater”.
In a written witness statement, Drew said in 2015 he and his then-fiancee Raquel “Rocky” Pennington moved into the Eastern Columbia Building in LA, where Depp, now 57, and Heard, 34, had a penthouse.
Drew said: “Johnny was jealous. Rocky told me, based on her conversations with Amber, that Johnny had a particular issue with James Franco.
“He and Amber had some intimate scenes in a project they were filming, which Johnny did not want her doing.
“They were arguing about it very regularly.”
Drew added: “Johnny had demanded Amber stop doing nudity in her films and cut down on intimate scenes with co-stars.”
Pennington told him “Johnny was jealous of Amber’s co-stars”.
Drew gave his account of an alleged incident on May 21, 2016, when Heard claims Depp threw a mobile phone at her.
Drew said that he and Pennington had ushered Heard into their flat and “deadbolted the door” to keep Depp out.
He said Depp’s security guard, Jerry Judge, then called asking for Depp’s mobile phone.
Drew said: “I met Jerry downstairs and gave him the phone.
“He took a few steps to walk away, then turned and asked me, ‘Is she OK?’ I said something like, ‘Are you f***ing kidding me?
“He beat the s*** out of her again and you guys stood by and watched’.”
Drew said police officers had arrived around 15 minutes later.
