As the Radio 1 DJ heads to Gwrych Castle in North Wales, proud mum Wendy has predicted we’ll be seeing Jordan unable to contain himself…literally.
Speaking to William Hanson for a special episode of Help I Sexted My Boss, the podcast the Jordan usually co-hosts, Wendy said: “He has got a very strong ‘gip factor’.
“Anything with a strong smell and he’ll start ‘gipping’. Just like me!”
And when it comes to food choices, Wendy says Jordan is not as easy-going as he’ll need to be while on the show.
Wendy recalled a time when younger Jordan had a tantrum outside McDonald’s on a family outing because he wanted to go to Pizza Hut instead, proving his time in the castle will be a challenging one food-wise.
Ahead of his stint on the show, Jordan revealed the lengths he’s been to to look good on TV.
He made sure to get his chest and back waxed – describing it as “the most painful thing of my life”.
Recorded before lockdown, Jordan told his Help I Sexted My Boss co-host William Hanson: “I decided that because I’m going on national telly, I needed to get my back and chest waxed, and it was the most painful thing of my life.
“I don’t want to look hairy and horrible on I’m A Celebrity!”
With the new line-up looking to be the most star-studded yet, I’m A Celeb’s loyal army of viewers are keen to see what surprises are in store from the allegedly haunted Welsh castle.
Fans breathed a collective sigh of relief as ITV managed to get the show to run despite several lockdowns.
But show bosses were forced to shift it to Wales’ Gwrych Castle after Covid made the usual Aussie jungle an impossibility.
Pushing ahead with production for the flagship reality show, ITV’s making sure to pull it off in a Covid-safe way, setting the air date for November 15.
*I’m A Celebrity returns to ITV at 9pm on Sunday 15 November.
