World Of Warcraft: Classic To Begin Testing Naxxramas Military Quarter

Recently, most eyes have been on the retail version of World of Warcraft, with the rapidly-approaching Shadowlands drawing closer and closer. Yesterday, the title even released the prepatch for the expansion, bringing massive changes.

But while Blizzard works on the modern version of the game, the Classic servers are still alive and well. In fact, they’re getting one of the bigger content updates before too much longer, with the test realms now working to test the content.

Blizzard announced that they would be beginning their testing of the Naxxramas raid, the final raid tier of the Vanilla servers. With this testing beginning, the raid comes just a bit closer.

The testing will be focused on the Military Quarter of the raid and not the entirety of Naxxramas. Players that want to hop onto the servers to help test will find the testing available from 2:00 PM PDT to 6:00 PM PDT.

During this four-hour gap, players are asked to attempt the wing to see what issues arise and where the developers should focus. The mission here isn’t one of fun – players are helping to test unfinished content that heavily needs tuning, and should approach accordingly.

Within the Military Quarter, players will find three bosses. The bosses Instructor Razuvious, Gothik the Harvester, and The Four Horsemen are the targets for this current stage of testing.

Blizzard has already announced at least one issue that players should be aware of. After a wipe, Gothik the Harvester’s encounter might fail to properly clean up for the next attempt. They gave no fix for this issue as of yet.

“This testing schedule is very fluid and subject to the realities of a test environment,” Blizzard states. “We might have to change the time of a testing session, change the bosses being tested, or cancel a test entirely, due to bugs, server hardware issues, etc. Keep an eye on this forum for the latest information, and thank you in advance for testing and providing feedback.”

Players will be provided with an aura that provides a significant health and damage boost to overcome the challenges of Naxxramas to provide full testing. The intention here is to exercise the boss mechanics rather than a proper challenge.

Blizzard asks that testers use the in-game bug reporter to help compile the list of issues that they should be focused on. The four-hour window of testing will hopefully provide them with all of the information they need to move towards implementing the content to the title fully.
