Willie Nelson Admits To His Philandering Ways In New Memoir – The Singer Claims He Cheated On Multiple Ex-Wives

Willie Nelson has had a tumultuous love life and he’s more than aware of it. In fact, the singer-songwriter admitted in a new book that he hasn’t always been a good husband. Page Six picked up on a passage from a new book, Me And Sister Bobbie, in which Nelson admitted to infidelity.

Willie – who has been married four times over the course of his long life – wrote a book alongside his sister, Bobbie, who has played in his band for years. The book touches on his personal life as well as the way he has treated former spouses.

Reportedly, Willie revealed that his second wife, Shirley Collie, found out he was cheating on her when she received a bill from a Houston hospital. According to Nelson, he tried telling her he had to visit a hospital for something small, but the bill included details.

His wife of the time wasn’t buying his story because the bill clearly said he had fathered a child, Paula Carlene, with another woman, Connie Nelson. Obviously, Shirley wanted to know who Mrs. Connie Nelson was.

Nelson went on to write in his book that his marriage with Connie soon ended after his marriage to Shirley collapsed. According to the Dukes of Hazzard alum, no woman ever wanted to put up with his philandering ways.

In the middle of the 1980s, Nelson began seeing another woman, Anne Marie D’Angelo, one of the makeup artists who worked with him on the set of Stagecoach. The film starred Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, and Nelson.

Willie wrote in his book that his love for Annie was overwhelming, but it took a long time for him to win her over. Nelson admitted to having a gift for over-complicating his love life, which often led to unnecessary disasters.

Finally, his marriage to Annie was the right one, because he and his wife have been married for the last 34 years and he has never looked back – not even once. During his time as a lothario, Willie had seven kids from just four marriages.
