Will Smith and wife Jada's company hit with COVID as ten staff members test positive

Will and Jada's production company Westbrook Inc, is the 'first significant transmission reported at a production company'

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's production company is at the center of a COVID-19 outbreak.

Their company, called Westbrook Inc, is the 'first significant transmission reported at a production company'.

Unfortunately for the celebrity couple, 10 members of their staff have tested positive for the virus, according to Variety.

"We received 10 positive tests and the crew members quarantined and remain in quarantine,” the company told the outlet.

"All 10 people were retested and have received negative results. We will continue to follow all official guidelines and safety protocols."

Production has been halted on the project that the infected staffers were working on.

Despite this, production and filming continues on several other shows that involve non-infected workers.

A representative for Westbrook revealed that some staff members who were in close contact with the infected workers have now started to self-quarantine.

Whats more, none of the infected workers have shown any symptoms of the virus.

This will be a huge blow for both Will, 51, and Jada, 48, who use the creative platform to create content for Jada's iconic Red Table Talk series.

As well as this, Men in Black star Will replies on the company to help with his Snapchat show Will From Home.

The pair also use their joint company to broadcast a long list of other television and film projects.

The company said that it had been following federal, state and local guidelines for its productions, including 'Appendix J,' the Los Angeles county order that sets out strict requirements for film and TV production.

There are now fears about the accuracy of the coronavirus tests being used after the 10 Westbrook Inc. employees tested negative so rapidly after their positive results.

Westbrook Inc. has now changed the firm responsible for conducting both the original and follow-up tests, Rapid Reliable Testing.
