The Kardashian clan have announced their infamous family reality show is coming to an end after an epic 14 year run.
The news was announced by Kim Kardashian, who has been in the show since she was 25, in a candid Instagram post.
The mum-of-four told her fans it was a "family decision" to finally end their warts and all E! series which has been filled with a fair share of good times and drama over the last decade.
But why is the show coming to an end all of a sudden?
We take a look at the latest fan theories after the family confirmed they are pulling the plug on their beloved show that made them both filthy rich and mega famous.
Kim and Kanye's marital dramaSome fans are convinced the show is coming to an end after Kanye West's mental breakdown this summer, where he publicly humiliated his wife Kim.
The pair were said to be "at each other's throats" during lockdown and several reports claimed the couple were even sleeping at separate ends of their home.
In May, the bookies predicted Kim and Kanye were tipped to divorce in 2021 - which is now the year their show is set to end.
Just months after, Kanye, who is running for US president, suffered a bipolar episode during his first campaign rally.
He began revealing all of Kim's darkest secrets - including how she wanted to abort their daughter North when she discovered she was pregnant and how they'd been close to divorce for years.
Their public fallout massively affected their "broken relationship" and Kim was reportedly "upset" by her husband's behaviour.
He publicly apologised to Kim, but nothing else has been mentioned since, and the pair have kept quiet since the showdown.
Kim previously admitted she was happy to share all her family drama on the show but could her spat with Kanye be a step too far?
After hearing the news this week, fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on Kanye's influence.
One wrote: "Whoa #KUWTK is ending. You know s**t just got real. It all makes sense now why they wanted Kanye quiet."
Another penned: "Pretty sure Kanye West gave the order."
As a third commented: "They'll be back when Kanye doesn’t win the presidency."
Kourtney's bombshell exitThe eldest sister of the clan, Kourtney Kardashian, announced she was leaving the show in July.
The news was a major blow to fans and producers alike with much-loved Kourtney being a firm viewer favourite thanks to her quirky drama and endearing family dramas.
Kourtney said she'd had enough of having cameras in her face and wanted her privacy back to focus on her lifesetyle platform Poosh, as well as being a dedicated mum to her three kids.
Kourt has been in the series for more than a decade, and decided it is now time to step down and focus on her own life with Mason, Penelope and Reign, who she shares with ex Scott Disick.
She told Vogue Arabia: "I have been filming the show non-stop for 14 years, 19 seasons and six spin-off seasons. I was feeling unfulfilled and it became a toxic environment for me to continue to have it occupy as much of my life as it was."
Fans are now speculating that Kourtney's exit marked the beginning of the end for the family orientated series.
Khloe and Tristan Thompson back togetherThe youngest of the Kardashian clan Khloe is reportedly back with her on-off boyfriend Tristan Thompson.
Scenes of Khloe discovering his cheating ways while she was pregnant and then again when she took him back months later were all played out on KUWTK.
Fans were heavily on Khloe's side and slammed family friend Jordyn Woods for 'breaking up her family.'
So Khloe's decision to stage an alleged reconcilation with Tristan has not gone down well with viewers.
Some fans now believe the family decided to end everything to avoid shining the spotlight on her relationship with Tristan.
She forgave the basketball player, who allegedly cheated on her several times, and viewers are convinced she doesn't want to air her private business in public after making the decision to get back with him.
One commented about the news: "AKA Kim doesn’t want to show all her issues with Kanye & Khloe doesn’t want to show her relationship with Tristan. Funny how they both judged Kourtney for wanting to be private & leave the show. Now I bet they want to do the same."
Kris Jenner meddling in the dramaFollowing Kanye's erratic outburst at the presidential rally, some fans believe momager Kris Jenner is the source of the problem.
Kanye went in on his mother-in-law at his speech, and referred to Kris as the North Korean leader, labelling her "Kris Jong-Un".
He also savagely criticised her parenting, referencing the time in 2007 where Kim did a Playboy photoshoot with mum Kris as her manager.
Sources close to the star said last month that Kanye has had enough of Kris' behaviour and it's "something he'll no longer tolerate".
It suggests Kanye has put a stop to letting the cameras inside their crazy lifestyle after his ongoing beef with Kris.
"Kanye is convinced Kim's mother Kris has got it in for him and that she's the main source of all their problems," a source revealed to heat.
"He accepts things with Kim need a lot of fixing and he admits he's no saint in some areas, but ultimately, his biggest beef is with Kris.
"He's sick of her meddling, and the constant pressure for Kim to be in the spotlight. In Kanye's mind, so many of their problems would be solved if they had more privacy."
KUWTK fans believe Kris is now planning a spin-off show with her grandchildren after her own kids have bailed on her.
Some fans believe Kris is "controlling" over her children, and has publicised a lot of their private life with the reality show.
One joked: "Who's ready for Kris' spin off 'keeping up with the grand kids' #KUWTK."
"I won’t be surprised if Kris had started a plan for another shows about the kids," another shared.
It's also thought Kim was said to be feeling the pressure as Kanye wanted to cut Kris out of their lives.
It seems the family have reached breaking point, and decided the best thing to do is wave goodbye to their beloved show.
Kim announced the news on Tuesday in a heartfelt post for her millions of fans.
She wrote: "It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
"After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and several spin-off shows, we’ve decided as a family to end this very special journey.
"We are beyond grateful to all of you who've watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children.
"We'll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way."
There's been no official reason as to why the series is coming to an end, other than the family wants to spend some time out of the limelight.
An E! spokeswoman told Deadline: "E! has been the home and extended family to the Kardashian-Jenners for what will be 14 years, featuring the lives of this empowering family.
"Along with all of you, we have enjoyed following the intimate moments the family so bravely shared by letting us into their daily lives.
"While it has been an absolute privilege and we will miss them wholeheartedly, we respect the family’s decision to live their lives without our cameras. It is not our final goodbye yet, we are excited to have the new season of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ launching on September 17 with the final season airing in 2021.
"We thank the entire extended family and our production partners, Bunim Murray and Ryan Seacrest Productions for embarking on this global phenomenon together."
