Wes Nelson: 'Love Island finalists can smell that PLT deal'

Wes Nelson reckons the Love Islanders can already "smell the Pretty Little Thing deal" as the show's finale beckons.

The singer, 24, who was on the programme in 2018, made the prediction on Capital XTRA Breakfast this morning when he referenced alumna Molly-Mae Hague's gig with the fashion brand.

Admitting he hadn't watched the current series, Wes mused: "It seems like there's certain people who are now like 'Oh, we're so happy. We're all good now. I never should have doubted you. We’re the strongest in it'. So like people are sort of getting the 'game-show' like mentality.

"I think [people are] coming back into it, people like 'oh, wait, right, actually we're really close to final now. I want to try and secure that £25k....I can smell the PLT deal from... it's a week away'".

One of the show's biggest success stories is undoubtedly Molly-Mae, who became the creative director of fashion house Pretty Little Thing earning her millionaire status.

There is also the small question of the £25k prize money, which the Islanders will all be eyeing up as the finale looms.

After this week's shock dumping there's not many left in the villa, there are but 10 hopefuls who could still bag the prize.

Paige Thorne, Dami Hope, Indiyah Pollack, Tasha Ghouri, Davide Sancilmenti, Gemma Owen, Andrew Le Page, Luca Bish, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Adam Collard are all in with a shout of waltzing off with the cash.

But if they don't, they needn't worry as several of the gang are predicted to earn mega bucks from sponsorship deals.

Digital PR and online public relations agency 10yetis have analysed who they think will be the top earners on Instagram once they depart from this year's famous villa of love.

And from the looks of the statistics, Gemma Owen is in a great position.

Although the dressage rider may already have money in the bank due to her father Michael Owen's football career, according to 10yetis' analysis, the brunette could earn a whopping £75,597.81 per sponsored Instagram campaign.

Coming in a close second is Turkish bombshell Ekin-Su.

The actress could receive £65,272.23 per a sponsored Instagram campaign, with the PR firm predicting that she could also be a favourite amongst fans when she's leaves the villa.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.

Capital XTRA Breakfast on Monday - Friday from 6:30am - 10am
