News reporter Jenny Lenzini tragically died on Saturday after a motorcycle she was riding crashed into a tree.

The 26-year-old TV star was flown to a hospital in Sarasota but later lost her fight after sustaining severe injuries.

Jenny was riding the motorbike with a driver, who died at the scene of the crash after reportedly losing control of the vehicle.

The TV reporter started working with Waterman Broadcasting – which operates channels NBC2 and ABC7 in southwest Florida – back in July.

Upon hearing the tragic news about her untimely death, the broadcasting outlet paid tribute to their hard-working colleague, Jenny.

The emotional statement read: “Jenny covered stories that mattered most to our community in Charlotte County and Lee County.

"She was always diligent in her work and made sure you knew how grateful and thankful she was to be reporting in Southwest Florida."

The young star’s former employee, news director, Keith Bliven, also took to social media to pay tribute to the bright young lady.

The KTIV journalist said Jenny’s death was a complete shock to the system.

“It's like a gut punch” he explained.

“She had a great future ahead of her, and did great things, and she was going to do great things."

Her tragic passing has sparked an outpour online, with social media users paying tribute to the ‘beautiful ray of light’.

One Twitter user penned: “I’m so shocked and sad to read about Jenny. Every time she appeared on my TV screen; she was a beautiful ray of light. May she rest in peace.”

“Another life was taken far too early. Jenny was a huge star in the making,” another echoed.

While a third shared: “A beautiful young woman taken too soon. Jenny will always be remembered in our hearts.”

Jenny’s tragic death comes just months after 26-year-old TV reporter Nina Kapur was killed after crashing on a Revel scooter.
