Tributes have been paid to Gary Rhodes one year after the TV star's sudden death at the age of 59.
On November 26 last year, the news broke that the much-loved chef death had died after suffering a fall at his home in Dubai, where he had lived since 2011.
Gary collapsed after a day filming with ITV and suffered a bleed on the brain, known as a subdural haematoma.
He was rushed to hospital but passed away shortly after.
In a statement at the time his family said Gary had returned home from shooting with Rock Oyster Media for ITV in Dubai and had been in a 'very happy mood for a peaceful evening with his wife Jennie'.
They continued: "After dinner, Gary unfortunately collapsed in their residence and was rushed to hospital but unfortunately passed away due to subdural haematoma."
The news sent shockwaves among fans who had watched Gary on TV for decades and from fellow chefs - including Gordan Ramsay and Ainsley Harriott - who had worked alongside the restaurenteur.
As well as running two restaurants in Dubai, Garry had made a name for himself with appearances on MasterChef, Hell's Kitchen and his own series Rhodes Around Britain.
He also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2008 where he was paired with professional Karen Hardy.
A year after losing his father, Gary's son George Rhodes appeared on Loose Women this week to reflect on what he described as a 'difficult' 12 months.
"It's been a hard year, obviously globally everyone has been struggling with losses and not being able to see their family," began George.
"For us we haven't been able to be there together as a family in a year that we've really needed each other.
"It's been really difficult," he added.
George said that his mum Jennie had taken over Gary's two restaurants in Dubai following his death.
"It's given her a focus and something for us to continue dad's legacy which is something we really want to do," he added.
George said the family would be marking the first anniversary of his death by flying to Dubai and eating in one of his restaurants in his honour.
Social media has also seen an outpouring of messages of support to the family.
One chef, who worked alongside him, tweeted: "Reliving many happy memories of the late, great, much loved Gary Rhodes one year today after his sad passing in Dubai. Sending love to Jennie and family x"
