Tory Lanez Suggests That Media Outlets Have Been Paid Off Not To Reveal His Story

The drama between Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion is continuing to air out in the entertainment news headlines following the July shooting. Lanez recently dropped the seventeen-track record, Daystar, where he touched on the incident in detail.

According to Hot New Hip Hop, Tory says he wasn’t the one who shot Megan in the foot and he says she and her team are just setting him up to “take the fall.” In addition to touching on his romance with Megan, Lanez also explained how he was hurt when all of his friends abandoned him at the drop of a dime.

Additionally, Lanez was excoriated when he dropped the record just one day after the Breonna Taylor verdict, but he said the real reason why he released the album was because of the death of his mother. She died on the 25th of September.

On the 29th of September, the Toronto rapper took to his social media with a few more comments on what has gone on in the headlines. He claimed there has been a “smear campaign” against him. Via his Instagram Story, Lanez wrote that he “moves on God’s time,” and doesn’t operate out of fear.

Lanez suggested he had God on his side and didn’t need to rely on the words of man. In addition to his spiritual posts, Lanez also screenshotted images of various news outlets, including Vulture, Blavity, High Snobiety, and Complex.

Tory says that he has never seen “verified publications” come out with the same biased opinion about an artist. The rapper says that despite everything that has happened to him over the last few months, he still has a love for everyone because money hasn’t changed his heart and his character.

Lanez went on to ask who was paying off all of the outlets who have supposedly “smeared” him. As it was previously reported, Tory addressed the scandal earlier in the month when he dropped Daystar on his Soundcloud.

The record featured 17 songs that explored his predicament with Megan and his fallout in the entertainment industry.
