The Wanted star Tom Parker has introduced his new son Bodhi into the world.
The singer, 32, and his wife Kelsey welcomed their second child in October, already being parents to daughter Aurelia who was born last year.
In a lengthy new interview with OK! magazine, the couple have spoken about welcoming their new baby Bodhi into the world.
In the chat, the couple divulged just exactly what the meaning was behind their son's unique name, who arrived following the life-altering news that Tom had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.
Speaking to the magazine, Kelsey revealed: “Bodhi means enlightenment. So it just goes perfectly with our situation right now. He's the light at the end of our tunnel."
She also revealed that Tom was not initially keen on the name for their baby.
Kelsey added: "Tom didn't want the name. I said, ‘Tom, I don't care what you say – we're having Bodhi and that's it.’"
In the interview, the couple also revealed how Kelsey's labour began during an episode of The Only Way Is Essex and after quite a long wait, the birth happened very quickly.
Arriving after just half an hour, Bodhi came into the world with both Kelsey and Tom present.
Praising the NHS as "amazing", Kelsey explained: "[Tom] was there the whole time. They even allowed him to stay over the night!"
Tragically, the joyous arrival of their son comes after the couple learned that Tom had an inoperable brain tumour, for which he is now receiving radiotherapy and chemotherapy to give him as much time as he can with his family.
Taking to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news with his fans, Tom posted a photo of himself with Kelsey and Aurelia in Brighton.
He captioned the image: "Hey guys, you know that we’ve both been quiet on social media for a few weeks and it’s time to tell you why.
"There’s no easy way to say this but I've sadly been diagnosed with a Brain Tumour and I’m already undergoing treatment.
"We decided, after a lot of thought, that rather than hiding away and trying to keep it a secret, we would do one interview where we could lay out all the details and let everyone know the facts in our own way."
He continued: "We are all absolutely devastated but we are gonna fight this all the way.
"We don’t want your sadness, we just want love and positivity and together we will raise awareness of this terrible disease and look for all available treatment options.
"It’s gonna be a tough battle but with everyone’s love and support we are going to beat this. Tom and Kelsey xxx".
The pair's subsequent interview with OK! magazine confirmed the severity of Tom's condition and the treatment he was receiving.
