The Free-To-Play Fantasy Game Genshin Impact Is Out Now

If you’re into fantasy RPGs with open-world mechanics and don’t like spending money, then you’re in luck. Right now, Genshin Impact is officially available to all.

For no charge, players can enjoy magical worlds, anime elements, and endless amounts of content. The developer miHoYo has created a fantastic free-to-play experience by the look of things.

Players get to go around unlocking playable characters. There are a total of 24 at launch, each of which have unique abilities and elemental powers. What’s unique about Genshin Impact is players can control up to four at a time. That provides plenty of exploration and fighting possibilities.

There is a complete story that shapes out as players progress. It introduces you to a lot of different characters and gives a little more context on this magical world that you’ve now found yourself in.

The game also features co-op and multiplayer, which seem like great ways to experience all of the amazing elements. You can aid each other in quests and go through the story together. Or, you can just enjoy Genshin Impact as a solo experience if that suits your playstyle better.

In the first couple of hours of playing this game, you’ll notice the heavy inspirations from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This was such a pivotal game for the Nintendo Switch and it looks like miHoYo has created a lot of the same successful elements.

There are plenty of things to explore and important items to search for. Traveling throughout the lands looks just as fun as completing missions and taking out foes that get in your way.

For everything that Genshin Impact includes at launch, it’s pretty impressive that it’s a free game. A lot of times, you can’t find this much detail in paid games. It’s just a testament to the developer’s commitment of making an incredible experience without having to put up a large price barrier.

There isn’t one at all and that means more people will get to experience its fantastic JRPG elements. The game is simple to pick up, but there seems like plenty of things to master. Even the combat looks pretty compelling. Each playable character has different normal abilities and special attacks.

If you’re looking for a good way to spend several hours or just like games with anime elements, Genshin Impact has enough to keep you busy for a very long time.
