Strictly Come Dancing hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman reunited today for the first time since the lockdown.

The presenting pair are set to front this year's series of the hit BBC dancing competition as producers confirmed the show will go on amid the coronavirus pandemic.

And they were all smiles as they met up for the first time in months to film the Best Of Strictly shows, according to Tess.

It appears the two ladies met in a London hotel ahead of the live series, which is set to have a major shake-up, according to show execs.

They both shared snaps on their Instagram to document the special moment.

Tess looked fantastic as she wore a sparkly off-the-shoulder top and cream trousers, which she paired with nude stiletto heels.

While Claudia opted for a chic pastel pink blouse and black cigarette trousers, with black heels.

Tess wrote alongside her snap: "Dreamy being reunited with @claudiawinkle today for some (socially distanced) filming for our ‘Best Of’ Strictly shows- on tv in September #strictlybusiness."

And Claudia shared a stunning selfie of the pair to show off how excited she was at seeing her co-star once again.

It's believed Strictly bosses could axe live music performances from upcoming shows in the latest shakeup.

In previous years, artists such as Lewis Capaldi, Taylor Swift and Andrea Bocelli have all appeared on the show, but the future of live music performances now hangs in the balance.

According to a television insider, safety concerns surrounding the show might mean international stars won't appear in the studio.

"It's seemingly impossible at this stage to recreate safely what has been a norm in previous years," a source told The Sun.

"Although live music from acts is still being considered, it's unlikely to include any big international stars and could be filmed away from the studio because of safety concerns.

According to the insider, the crew are trying to come up with innovative ways to include music however it hasn't been easy.

The source added: "In early meetings about the show when the lockdown was nationwide, the idea of having live musicians performing was totally thrown out."

Bosses of the popular dance competition recently confirmed that the show will go ahead, according to the Daily Star.

A source also suggested that rehearsals for the show might begin as early as next month.

They said: "Rehearsals will start next month for them but it’s still not known what shape their input will take.

"Everyone is hoping they will be able to play live in the studio. But as with everything, it’s totally up in the air."
