Taylor Swift Vows To Never Stop Advocating For LGBTQ+ Rights!

The singer is very dedicated when it comes to being an LGBTQ+ ally and advocate! That being said, she promised her fans and everyone else who cares to listen, that she would never stop fighting for acceptance and equality in today’s society!

Taylor Swift received the Icon Award at the 2020 Attitude Awards earlier this week and that is when she vowed to never stop advocating for LGBTQ+ rights!

The award was presented to her virtually by her close, longtime pal Todrick Hall, and then, the singer proceeded to deliver her acceptance speech, which was very inspiring.

‘I’m really, really grateful for this, this is so amazing. I just want to say thank you to anybody who had a hand in deciding I should deserve this. Mostly I want to say thank you to the fans for giving me a platform to make music and to be vocal about the things I think are right and wrong,’ she said.

Taylor went on to stress that ‘I just believe very firmly that everyone should be able to live out their love story without fear of discrimination. The way for that to happen is for us to continue to keep pushing governments to put protections in place for members of the LGBTQ community. And I promise to always advocate for that.’

While Taylor Swift stayed away from politics on her public platform for most of her career, in recent years, she’s started to use her voice and influence, as a celebrity, for good.
