Tara Reid says she wouldn't have got through lockdown without besties Jedward
EXCLUSIVE: American Pie and Sharknado actress Tara Reid had best pals Jedward by her side throughout the coronavirus lockdown
Tara Reid says she made it through the lockdown because of her best pals Jedward.
The American Pie and Sharknado star praised X Factor twins John and Edward Grimes, 29, after they helped her navigate the difficult time.
Tara, 45, who met the boys on Celebrity Big Brother in 2011, says they kept her entertained when the world came to a standstill during the coronavirus pandemic.
While quarantining together in LA, Tara worked on the first movie she's producing while Jedward wrote new music.
Tara, who is working hard on thriller Masha's Mushroom, which she's producing as well as playing the title character, spilled on what lockdown with Jedward was like during an exclusive chat with Mirror Online.
She said: "I love them. They're like my little brothers, I see them all the time.
"They're actually so much smarter than everyone gives them credit for, they're brilliant.
"They write their own music, and they did it while they were here through quarantine."
She added: "Quarantine has been good for me because I'm producing a film, Masha's Mushroom, so I was working through this whole time finding the financing, getting the actors and the locations, it's a lot of work.
"It's a whole new can of worms and something I've never done before.
"Usually I get my call time at 6am and have to go there and know my lines but there's this whole other side to it and I'm putting this whole package together.
"It's been a really great experience all round. It's been incredible."
Tara said her house was super busy, bringing her plenty of entertainment.
"You had me doing [the movie] and John and Edward were here singing and playing guitar and making up new songs and my boyfriend was here working from home doing mortgages," she said.
"So this house was like a show.
"I feel bad for any of my friends who are on their own right now. It's such a sad time for everybody and it's a scary time as well.
"It's been a good time for reflection. It's humbled me and it really does make you appreciate your friends and your family, your life, your job, your work.
"Also it's made me really love that freedom we had before, which we don't have any more."
During lockdown, Tara has joined website Thrillz where people can buy personalised video messages from her for themselves or their loved ones.
Tara was even recently trusted to reveal the gender of a happy couple's baby to them.
On signing up, she explained: "I thought it was such a cool thing to do right now because everyone's in quarantine, nobody can shop for gifts or clothes, what can you buy people that they don't already have?
"I thought what a cool concept that you can get a message from your favourite celebrity telling you that your loved ones are thinking of you.
"I did one the other day where they had to reveal their baby gender. It's amazing to be trusted with that."
Tara added: "It feels so good. I get just as excited as they do. You can do something so small but it becomes big for all of us.
"We're in such a dark age now, weird times going on, and to put a smile on someone's face is contagious. They'll never forget it and it's something they'd treasure forever.
"It's a really cool thing that you can do to make people happy and I think it's a great creation."
