Sugababes singer Keisha Buchanan says growing up in the spotlight as part of the girl band has ruined her dating life forever.
The 35-year-old founding member of the chart topping band was just 15-years-old when she was propelled in to the public eye with the release of debut single Overload.
Keisha appeared on the first seven albums of the band – before being forced out of the group in 2009 to be replaced by singer Jade Ewen.
With decades living in the public eye, however, Keisha says she has been left with a constant reminder of some of her style mishaps from the year 2000 onwards – which are causing havoc with her love life.
Speaking to the Girl Group Gossip podcast, the chart icon admitted: “I could have definitely avoided certain hairstyles. There was a lot going on.
“There are photos in your mum’s living room somewhere in a photo album.
"Whereas with mine, they’re on the net.
"So I’ll meet a guy and he’ll be like, ‘Oh, I Googled you,’ and that’s the first thing that comes up. It’s just embarrassing.”
In the same interview, Keisha revealed she suffered an injury recently when she was trying to do a good deed for a friend.
She revealed: “I was trying to do something really lovely for my friend, hang up some birthday balloons, and I took a mis-step and had a really nasty fall.
“I’m on the mend now and I’m all good.”
Last year, Sugababes fans were thrilled to learn the original line-up had reformed to record new music.
Keisha along with original bandmate Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy featured on a cover of the Sweet Female Attitude song Flowers released by DJ Spoony under their iconic Sugababes band name.
