For two series, dance fans were wowed by the moves on the BBC's The Greatest Dancer.
But in April it was confirmed the show, fronted by former Strictly winner Alesha Dixon and Britain's Got Talent star Jordan Banjo, would not be returning to our screens.
The Greatest Dancer attracted just 3.2million viewers earlier this year as it faced stiff competition from The Masked Singer and Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.
A BBC spokesman said: "Whilst there are no plans for a further series of The Greatest Dancer, we are proud of the show."
Latin ballroom duo Michael and Jowita were the most recent winners of the show, earning £50,000 and the chance to perform on Strictly Come Dancing.
The competition, which pitted some of the country's best amateur dancers against each other, was judged by Strictly's Oti Mabuse, Glee star Matthew Morrison, pop star Cheryl, and singer, actor and choreographer, Todrick Hall.
However, since the competition ended in March it appears the star judges haven't managed to stay in touch.
Strictly star Oti revealed the only people she had stayed in touch with from her time on The Greatest Dancer were the hosts, Alesha and Jordan.
She said: "Me, Cheryl and Matthew Morrison haven't really kept in touch. Matthew went straight to Japan after the show and I've been really busy so it's been difficult."
During filming there were rumours of a feud between Strictly star Oti and Fight For This Love singer Cheryl, which both have denied.
Back in 2018 Cheryl said she "absolutely loved working with Oti and has a brilliant relationship with her".
While Oti added: "I love Cheryl and had a great time filming The Greatest Dancer."
However, it seems the pair have made no effort to stay in touch during lockdown, although there is some contact on social media.
Oti explained: "We do all send each other funny videos on Instagram, but we never have a general chat.
"Everyone says I should start a WhatsApp group for us and I'm like: 'No! Why? You start it, you put the effort in!"
Oti will be back on our screens later this year when Strictly returns to the BBC.
The dancer confirmer all the professionals will be in quarantine before filming starts.
And she and her husband, Marius, who met Oti when they both worked on the German version of the show in 2012, will also soon be opening their own dance school.
Kimberley Walsh, Cheryl's Girls Aloud bandmate, has also urged her pal to take part in the hit BBC show.
The former Girls Aloud singer, 37, is the bookies' favourite to replace Bruno Tonioli if he is unable to fly back to the UK to take part due to coronavirus travel restrictions, though her manager says she hasn't been approached by the show.
And Kimberley is reportedly urging her to consider the job in a bid to "revive" her career following the cancellation of her last TV project, The Greatest Dancer.
A source told new! magazine: "Kimberley's urged Cheryl to go for the opportunity and says it will help her revive her career, as well as boost her self-esteem and prove all her critics who've torn her apart over the past year."
