Strictly's Karen Hauer 'splits from boyfriend' just weeks before show starts
Strictly Come Dancing professional Karen Hauer has split from her boyfriend of two years, opera singer David Webb, it's claimed
Strictly Come Dancing professional Karen Hauer has reportedly split from her boyfriend just weeks before the show starts.
Karen, 38, told pals that she split from her partner of two years David Webb, 35, last week but they are still on good terms, it's claimed.
The romance appeared to be getting serious before it ended, with the former couple even discussing marriage.
A source told The Sun: "Karen and David have quietly ended their relationship.
"It finished on good terms, they have a mutual respect for one another and there were no other parties involved – the relationship simply ran its course."
Karen is reportedly using Strictly to take her mind off her split from the opera singer.
The source added: "Being a part of the show is helping to take her mind off everything and she's being supported by her co-stars, many of whom she counts as close mates."
Mirror Online has contacted Karen's reps for comment.
Karen and David had been together since 2017.
They began dating when she split from Kevin Clifton, who is now dating his 2019 dance partner Stacey Dooley.
Karen and Kevin, 37, confirmed their three-year marriage had ended in March 2018.
He said in a statement at the time: "We're still the best of friends – we've got a lot of love and respect for each other."
Kevin has been married three times, first with his former dance partner when he was just 20-years-old.
The dancer was married professional dancer Clare Craze until 2010 and he was married to Karen from 2015 until 2018.
Earlier this year Karen opened up about her traumatic split from Kevin.
She told Closer magazine: "The year we broke up was traumatic and heartbreaking. It was a shock for us both, but I think it was something that was a long time coming and we ignored the signs.
"We both had different schedules, long working days, and we just didn’t see each other very much."
She added: "When I look back, I don't think we were ready for marriage. We were still growing as performers, as people, as lovers, and sometimes you just can’t find the right way to fix things."
In the same interview she said she was open to marriage with David.
