Strictly Come Dancing pro power couple Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec have revealed how their finances took a hit as they struggled along with thousands of other Brits during lockdown this year.
Janette has laid bare how they coped when their tours and projects ground to a halt as the country locked down in a bid to fight coronavirus.
Speaking their good friend Dr Ranj on his podcast Steths, Drugs & Rock 'n' Roll, Janette revealed: "Financially it was tough, we did lose three tours this year.”
Despite the money worries, the 37-year-old dancer was determined to look on the bright side as she gushed over being able to spend time with her hubby.
“I think emotionally and psychologically and physically for the two of us to have all this time at home, which was never possible because of the schedule we have, has been actually really, really, nice."
She continued: "We've learned to live in our own home, which we never felt before.
“Now our living room actually feels like our living room.
“I like the kitchen, I was never friends with the kitchen before and Aljaz has loved just taking time to himself, he hasn't been online much… he has taken time to chill out.
“It's been amazing."
Since the candid chat, the couple have struggled with being forced to separate ahead of and during the filming for this year’s Strictly.
They got married in 2017, but this year they have been forced to live apart for the first time in over a decade as they moved into bubbles with their dance partners for the show.
Earlier this week, Aljaz confessed says his eviction from the BBC show has made it harder to see his wife.
The professional dancer, who was partnered up with Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo, was booted off the show last weekend.
He opened up about how it's been difficult spending time with his wife as they've had to follow strict social-distancing rules while in the studio, but with Aljaz out of the competition, it will only make things worse.
The couple's work schedules are hectic due to gruelling rehearsals for hours on end each day throughout the competition.
The 30-year-old has dished on how the pair manage to work around their busy schedules in order to spend time with each other.
Aljaz told Decathlon's The Power of 10 podcast: "We can see each other on a Friday and Saturday in the studio, obviously keeping to two metre distance.
