Strictly star Len Goodman is back to his 'gorgeous self' after skin cancer scare
Former Strictly Come Dancing's Len Goodman reassured fans he was back to his "gorgeous self" and as "good as gold" following skin cancer scare
Len Goodman has been given the all clear after a skin cancer scare.
Strictly Come Dancing's former head judge, 76, had an operation on his forehead in August after doctors spotted a tiny mole.
But the sparkling TV personality reassured fans he was back to his "gorgeous self" and as "good as gold" following the operation.
He told Good Morning Britain on Monday: "I had a tiny little mole thing on the side of my head, probably from being out and playing golf and whatever.
“And it was such a simple process.
"The doctor put a few injections around it, took it out and I’m back to my gorgeous self.”
The dancing judge urged others to stay safe by keeping covered up in the blazing heat.
Len pointed out he now wears a baseball cap to fully cover his head and slaps on Factor 50 suncream while he plays golf.
He added: “It’s so important that we do keep covered up. I used to wear a baseball cap but now I wear a straw hat which fully covers the forehead and so on.
"I put a lot of Factor 50 on my face when I play golf and fingers crossed everything is going to be gorgeous.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid were keen to get some advice for their colleague Ranvir Singh ahead of the 2020 Strictly series.
Good Morning Britain's very own Ranvir was named among the stars lined-up for Strictly Come Dancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.
And of course Len had some good advice for the presenter.
He said: "Obviously enjoy it, learn the routine as quickly as you can and get it into your head and then start working on the character."
