Maisie Smith has spoken about the future and revealed she wants to "try new things" in the years ahead.

One of the favourites for the Glitterball has played Tiffany Butcher in EastEnders since 2008.

But now she has dropped hints that she could say goodbye to E20.

The 19-year-old has been speaking about what's ahead in her career after Strictly Come Dancing comes to an end.

She told The Sun she has thought about life after the Square.

She says: "In the future I want to try new things and I want to play new characters, but for right now I’m happy because EastEnders want me still.”

But whatever the future holds, leaving London doesn't seem to be a realistic option.

She joked: “I have to ring mum and ask how to use the washing machine!

“I’ve been eating fajitas every day because they’re the only things I can cook."

Maisie has finally responded to romance rumours after getting close to singing star HRVY.

She has refused to rule anything out - but says "not right now" when questions about dating the social media star were put to her.

"He is a beautiful-looking guy," she told The Sun.

"But I have only seen him for a couple of hours a week so I am still enjoying getting to know him."

It's been reported that the BBC are keeping an extra-close eye on the youngsters to make sure there's no kissing, banned by social distancing rules.

On Saturday, Strictly viewers were confused when they learned Maisie was being transformed into Frozen's Elsa for her latest dance.

As she made her way onto the Strictly ballroom floor, viewers noticed a "mistake" with her costume.

Elsa is famed for her stunning blue floor-length Disney gown, while Frozen II saw her ditch the blue for a white frock.

But as shee stepped out with professional dance partner Gorka Marquez, they noticed she was wearing pink.
