Stacey Solomon announces her ‘homeymoon’ after dream wedding to Joe Swash

Stacey Solomon and new hubby Joe Swash are spending their honeymoon closer to home than many expected as they spend special moments with their kids

Stacey Solomon has surprised her fans with where she is spending her honeymoon to new hubby Joe Swash.

The Loose Women panelist, 32, has revealed the pair will be enjoying a "homeymoon" this summer with the kids being off school.

Stacey and Joe, 40, tied the knot on July 24 in an intimate ceremony at Pickle Cottage and the former X Factor star revealed their plans to stay home for the foreseeable.

Explaining the couple's decision on Instagram, Stacey said: "Making the most of every second of the summer we have off with the pickles... This is our honeymoon.

"We are calling it a 'homeymoon' because we just wanted to spend it at home with all the kids all summer.

She continued: "We're always one in one out and all over the place. So this time at home is just all we could have dreamed of."

Her words came as she posted a sweet clip of her kids climbing trees in the family's garden.

Stacey, who is mum to Zachary, 13, and Leighton, nine, from a previous relationship, shares three-year-old Rex and 10-month-old Rose with former EastEnders man Joe and often describes how being a mum is her favourite job.

She's a regular poster on social media with most videos surrounding her home life.

And earlier in the week she updated her 5.3 million Instagram followers with a new selection of snaps and videos from her special day.

She uploaded a clip of her "magical" first dance which showed the jovial star getting emotional during the beautiful moment.

Stacey looked stunning in an off-white princess gown as she danced with Joe to a slowed down version of Whitney Houston's My Love Is Your Love.

The wedding party waved sparklers as the newlyweds slow danced on their huge lawn in the garden of the picturesque home they've named Pickle Cottage.

Stacey captioned the clip: "Our First Dance. I’m so lucky to have you by my side. Today, Tomorrow, Forever. "We got to see some of our videos today and it was magical. It’s so nice to have had time to remember our wedding in our heads and tell each other our different memories & favourite moments.

"Then to see it all on video was just the most special feeling ever. Hope this makes your heart happy the way it did us. Joe speaking to me in the middle is my favourite bit."
