In pictures: England win Euro 2022 final against Germany

The Spice Girls have led stars in congratulating the Lionesses following their incredible win at the women's Euro finals on Sunday.

The popular group, who are rumoured to reunite for one last time, hailed the team for the "girl power" after the England women's football team finally brought football home.

"Congratulations @Lionesses True #GirlPower right there," band's official Twitter page wrote.

England beat the German women's football team 2-1 as the tense final game went into extra time at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

The win is the Lionesses' first ever European Championship triumph, after the winning goal was scored a the 110th minute by Chloe Kelly.

Meanwhile, Rebekah Vardy and Sam Faiers took to their Instagram stories to share congratulatory messages, too.

Following the incredible victory Rebekah, who lost the Wagatha Christie case earlier this week, shared a congratulatory message on her Instagram story.

Rebekah shared a photo of the Lionesses celebrating their win on her Instagram story and wrote: "Yessss" followed by a party popped emoji.

She added: "Well done ladies! Amazing," followed by a heart eye emoji.

Mum-of-three Sam also shared a video of the winning goal on her Instagram stories, to mark the historic moment.

The congratulatory messages also came flooding in on Twitter as Piers Morgan wrote: "B****y hell.. it’s come home! Congrats @Lionesses - brilliant."

"How ace is that ? #Lionesses," wrote comedian John Bishop alongside a series of clapping hands emojis.

And Loose Women star Charlene White penned: "It’s emotional maaaaaaaan…. big up all the women who fought hard to get us to this point. What an amazing moment in history #Lionesses."

Comedian John Bishop added to the floods of praise

She added: "Nah… I’m shedding a tear. This is so big. And when my Florence is finally able to start footy training in a couple months (just days after she turns 3), these are the women she’ll be aspiring to emulate. How wonderful is that #Lionesses #ENG".

Charlene then revealed she wanted to party alongside the England team as she wrote: "Yo… where are the Lionesses raving tonight, cos I want in! #Lionesses #ENG".

England men's football player Harry Maguire added: "Huge congratulations to @Lionesses. Brilliant game. History made. The whole country is proud of you. Enjoy the celebrations #Lionesses".

Loose Women star Judi Love tweeted: "Absolutely amazing!!! It’s coming home!!"

Comedian Miranda Hart was overwhelmed with emotion as she said: "Crying. So brilliant. So important. Too emotional to articulate more. I am glad there are 7 year olds watching this who wanted to be a goalkeeper like I did! But didn’t think it was ‘appropriate’ or ‘allowed’ to voice it. Thank you Lionesses."

And, Love Island star Chloe Burrows, gave a shout out to Beth Mead, who won the Golden Boot for her performance in the game.

She wrote: "Someone tell beth mead I love her #Lionesses".

And TV star Reverend Richard Coles also tweeted how he could hear celebrations from his home as he wrote: "I can hear It’s Coming Home sung in at least two very distant keys coming from my neighbours. #Lionesses".
