Soccer Aid star Steven Bartlett’s staggering net worth and how he made his millions

Steven Bartlett, who is the youngest person to have a coveted seat on BBC series Dragons' Den, made his millions through marketing agency Social Chain and will take part in this year's Soccer Aid

Steven Bartlett will be swapping the Dragons' Den for the football pitch this weekend.

The 29-year-old, who is the youngest Dragon to ever step foot into the Den, made his millionaires as a business mogul before stepping onto the show.

His main source of fortune is thanks to his award-winning company Social Chain - a business that he founded from his bedroom in Manchester.

Social Chain is an innovative social media marketing agency, with a collective reach of over 200 million people, and a global client portfolio that includes Apple, McDonalds, and the BBC.

At the age of just 22, the millionaire built the group's two main companies, Social Chain and Media Chain - and by the time he turned 27 the company had gone public before merging with German retailer Lumaland.

He left the company 2020, which at the time was estimated to be worth around £300 million - however, Steven himself has a different net worth.

At the age of 26, Forbes magazine estimated that the businessman was worth around £65m, and that number has definitely increased in the last few years.

Even without his own business, Steven is also a published author with Sunday Times bestseller Happy Sexy Millionaire, as well as a podcast host.

The entrepreneur is recognised as the owner of No.1 and fan favourite podcast The Diary of a CEO, which rakes in over £1 million a year in advertising.

His investing has led him to join the board of meal replacement company Huel and to become an advisor for Atai life sciences, a company working to cure mental health issues.

Steven's career-mindedness hasn't always worked in his favour, as he previously spoke of being dumped by a string of former lovers for being neglected.

But he's found love with his current girlfriend and even says that if he goes on to have children, they won't be spoiled.

"My kids will sit in economy. They're not going to sit wherever I sit," he joked.

Throughout its active years, the podcast has spiralled some viral moments with celebrities, including the likes of reality TV star and beauty influencer Molly-Mae Hague.

Molly, 23, faced immediate backlash after stepping onto the podcast and making controversial comments as listeners criticised her for being "privileged".

The former Love Island star said that "everyone has the same 24 hours in the day" and said that she’s willing to go to "any lengths’" to achieve success.

At the time, Steven took to Twitter to defend his latest guest on the podcast.

He said: "Molly Mae did an interview on my podcast, yesterday a soundbite from that interview went viral, she trended No.1 on Twitter, every newspaper covered it and MP’s weighed in.

"I’ve had male guests say what she said. No one cared. But when Molly says it, she’s crucified? Crazy."

Steven's success doesn't stop as a podcast host - he was also named in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list and has won prizes at prestigious awards including the Black British Business Awards and the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

The businessman has also made a name for himself in front of the cameras following his stints on television.

In addition, the TV star is even confirmed to be starring is this Sunday's charity match for Soccer Aid.

He will star alongside familiar celeb faces, including the likes of the England captain and former One Direction singer Liam Payne, as well as former Love Island winner Kem Cetinay.

Sunday's match will take place at the London Stadium in Stratford and will be broadcast live on ITV, STV and ITV Hub.

Soccer Aid takes place on Sunday, June 12 - the event will kick-off at 7.30pm.
