Sir Cliff Richard to reveal agony on false sex abuse claims in tell-all book

In the tell-all book, Sir Cliff “talks about how the false allegations changed his life forever”, publisher Ebury Press said

Sir Cliff Richard is marking his 80th birthday with an autobiography detailing the devastating impact of fake sex offence claims.

In the tell-all book, Sir Cliff “talks about how the false allegations changed his life forever”, publisher Ebury Press said.

It also covers his Christianity and friendships with the likes of Sir Elton John and Cilla Black.

But the book is expected to focus heavily on the singer’s fight with the BBC over its reporting of the allegations.

The corporation used a helicopter to film a police raid on his Berkshire home in 2014.

It followed false claims Sir Cliff committed a sex offence in 1985.

He was never arrested or charged and the case was dropped.

A judge ruled the corporation had infringed his privacy.

Sir Cliff said BBC managers acted as “judge, jury and executioner” and put him through “the most horrible thing that’s taken place in my life”.

He added: “It was heartbreaking anyone would even think it possible for that accusation to be true.”
