Jeremih 'on a ventilator battling coronavirus in intensive care'

Jeremih is said to be fighting for his life as he battles coronavirus in the intensive care unit

Jeremih has been placed on a ventilator as he fights coronavirus in intensive care, it's claimed.

Reports that the singer, 33, had been admitted into hospital first surfaced earlier this week, and it's now said he is on a breathing ventilator.

According to TMZ, Jeremih's prognosis is not looking good as his condition has worsened.

Jeremih, whose real name is Jeremy Phillip Felton, is known for his songs Birthday Sex, Down on Me and Don't Tell 'Em, all of which made the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100.

50 Cent was the first to confirm that Jeremih's hospitalisation was coronavirus-related.

The rapper tweeted: "Pray for my boy Jeremih he's not doing good this Covid s*** is real."

50 featured on Jeremih's 2010 single Down on Me.

He later added: "He's in ICU in Chicago."

Chance The Rapper also tweeted about the worrying news.

He posted: "Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now.

"I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him."

Mirror Online has contacted Jeremih's reps for comment.
