Sheridan Smith and Will Mellor haven't spoken for more than four years - and he doesn't know why the star won't get in touch.

Will says she hasn't returned his calls or messages but he insists there's not been a row between them.

The former Two Pints of Lager and A Packet of Crisps co-stars got their big break together nearly 20 years ago and Sheridan has gone on to big things.

The programme ran from 2001 to 2011 and Will had hoped for a reunion show.

He said in 2019 that it didn't happen because one cast member "won't pick up the phone" - but didn't say who.

Now perhaps we know who misplaced their mobile.

Will, who has himself starred in Hollyoaks and Broadchurch, explained that he wanted her at his 40th birthday bash.

He told the Daily Star : “I haven’t spoken to Sheridan for four years – I have tried to message and call her, but nothing.

“I had a 40th birthday party that she was invited to but we haven’t spoken.

“There has not been a row, no fall-out. I honestly couldn’t tell you why.

“She is doing very well, her career is smashing it and she has a kid now, she has other responsibilities."

In 2019, hunky Will revealed he had been speaking to show creator Sue Nickson about a reunion after fans got in touch on social media.

Will told fans: "Well, I have been listening and reading your messages and I think we are going to get a Two Pints special off the ground.

"I spoke to Susan Nickson and we are hopefully going to try and get a Two Pints special going. Just to say thank you for all the support of people who love the show and got behind it.

"Watch this space, just got to dot the 'i's and cross the 't's and hopefully a Two Pints special will be on the way."
