During a new interview, Shawn admitted that they discuss their future together quite a lot and he even sparked secret marriage speculations by mentioning his dad calls her ‘daughter in law!’
While talking about his relationship with Camila Cabello on the Zach Sang Show, the Canadian singer said that ‘It’s like a real partner, a partner in crime, you have someone to bounce any ideas off of. The hardest ideas, which is the life ones, and yeah, we always talk about that stuff.’

At some point during the chat, Shawn mentioned that his father is really fond of Camila, sharing that ‘My dad is never really serious about things, but he’d always bug me and be like, ‘How is my daughter-in-law doing?”
He then even went on to talk about marriage: ‘Obviously, your parents do not know, but when you know you know. I definitely did go to them a lot about it. She has been one of my best friends since I was, like, 15 years old. At the same time, I know we’re really young so I do not want to jump, like, insanely fast, but I think that when you find your person, you feel and know that you have found your person.’
This update on their relationship comes after the two have been spending a lot of time at her family’s house in Miami amid the pandemic.
This must definitely mean that her loved ones are just as fond of Shawn as his family members are of her!
