Scarlett Moffatt has used her time wisely and threw her 30th birthday party early to beat the new six-person rule.

The Gogglebox star, who will turn the big three-oh on October 17, celebrated with 10 pals five weeks early.

As of tomorrow (Monday 14), the coronavirus "rule of six" will go into affect - meaning that social gatherings of six or more people are off the cards.

The new law is part of the government's efforts to stem the spread of coronavirus.

But Scarlett got in her dose of fun before the rule, marking her big day with 10 mates.

The 2016 I'm A Celeb Queen of the Jungle put on a picnic, danced with a silent disco and even belted out a few classics during karaoke.

Sharing her day on Instagram, Scarlett gave a look at the fabulous lay-out put down for her picnic, including teepees, balloons, piles of cushions, and high-backed garden chairs.

Whoever was responsible for the food went all out, putting on an incredible spread of cheeses, meats and bread.

Later she gave a glimpse into the gang's dancing, snapping a shot of a makeshift bar in the corner labelled "Scarlett's Bar."

Fans noticed that the star switched up her outfits a couple of times during the time, swapping a flowing, layered dress for a leopard print top and jeans, before rocking a glitzy pink cardie.

In a video the next morning, Scarlett admitted she was suffering from a hangover.

"So I have noticed that I'm wearing three different outfits on those photos," she laughed.

"Despite having a party of 10 people, I still got changed three times. You only turn 30 once, I suppose!

"It's not my 30th until October 17, but change of plans with only having six people meant that my birthday celebrations were cancelled."

Scarlett went on to sympathise with anyone who's had to ditch plans because of the new rules, but that it's important to stick to them.

"So I feel anyone's pain who was going to get married or have an event as it's a bit s****y," she added, "but we've got to follow the rules and make sure we're keeping ourselves safe."

Earlier this month, Scarlett said she'd have to cancel her birthday plans as she opened up on the how the lockdown had affected her.

"My anxiety is so bad now because of this news," she said, "Anyone else feel like living in another country for a year?"
